Daniel Hasnaş runs to celebrate with strike partner Dario Zintu after scoring our second goal.

It was Brook Street’s reserve side who reigned supreme as they strolled into the Hattrick William Hill Scottish Cup Fourth Round with a 6-2 win over Gers Supreme this morning.

Athletic were two up within the fourth minute of the match, and from then on, were never in any danger of losing the tie despite a small rally by the home side before half time.

“We took it easy, but we were thoroughly professional throughout”, said Arjen at full-time. “Our first half goals all but finished the match, but all credit to our opponents who pulled two goals back to make a bit of a game of it. However there was no way we were going to let them in again and our two second half goals finished them off”.

He continued, “The only thing that is troubling me, are the number of needless cards we’re picking up at the moment. That was another four this morning, and we’ll have to cut these out otherwise suspensions could cost us dearly”.

Brook Street were handed a home tie against Division III side Glasgow GUNNERS in the Fourth Round draw, which took place at lunchtime. The match takes place next Wednesday with kick-off at 1030 GMT.
