Nemanja Janković finishes off a superb move to make the points safe against Glenury this afternoon.

Goals from Onésimo Murube after thirteen minutes, and Nemanja Janković six minutes from time, were enough to give us a 2-0 away win over Glenury Untied this afternoon.

The win kept us in pole in what already appears to be shaping up to be a two-horse title race between ourselves and speccy’s saints.

At full-time, Arjen said, “Games against Glenury tend to be low scoring because of the way their defence try to stifle the match, so it’s particularly pleasing that we got two goals and kept a clean sheet”.

He continued, “We have an excellent record against them, and it was good that we kept that going”.

“speccy’s saints are pushing us hard, so it’s important that we have no slip-ups. They’ve had a phenomenal win against Handball this afternoon, while our match had the potential to be a banana-skin for us. It’s good that we have safely negotiated it”.

He concluded, “Now we can turn our attention to Wednesday’s Cup tie, in which we have nothing to either prove or lose. We can go out and enjoy the occasion with no pressure on us whatsoever”.
