Yann Schories scores our consolation goal in this morning's Scottish Cup Fifth Round tie with Conors Crusaders.

Brook Street were left to rue missed chances as they bowed out of this season’s William Hill Scottish Cup, losing 3-1 to Conors Comrades in front of a capacity crowd at New Home Park.

Although the visitors were only 1-0 up at the break through Sandy Fielden’s thirty-fifth minute strike, goals from Ethan Galt in seventy-one, and Jose Manuel Spencer in eighty-five minutes wrapped the game up for the Division III side.

Yann Schories netted our consolation goal with four minutes left, however it was the chances that we missed earlier in the game that cost us, according to Arjen at full-time.

“A little more composure in front of goal could have seen the complexion of the match change. We squandered our few chances, and ultimately were picked off on the break”.

He continued, “Comrades were a very good side today, so there’s no disgrace in going out to them. The players will have learnt much more from our Cup matches this season, and hopefully we can now put this to good use and kick on in the league”.
