Brook Street maintained their phenomenal unbeaten home league record and ended a five-game winless streak with an excellent 2-0 win over Schwarzenegger Allstarz at New Home Park this afternoon.

First half goals from Marcus Lövman and Maranaj Batusha did the damage, however this scarcely gets close to showing how dominant the New Home Park side were as the visitors were completely shut out, being denied a single shot on goal.

Indeed, three excellent stops from Eloi Fons in the Allstars goal prevented Brook Street from running away with the game, while the crossbar saved the visitors in the closing minutes of the game.
A delighted Arjen Bogaert said at full-time, “Over past the year, we’ve turned New Home Park into a fortress. We boss games here, and the fans turn it into a really intimidating place to come to”.

He continued, “We were truly outstanding today and fully merited the win. We were atrocious last week, but hopefully we’ve made it up to the fans this week”.

“Wins don’t come much better than this. Our goals maybe came from unusual sources, but it just shows that we can score goals from all over the pitch”.

Arjen continued, “It may seem a little strange looking over our shoulder when we’ve just gone second and have now put a little space between ourselves and the relegation spaces, but survival is our aim this season and we’re definitely not out of the woods yet. That said, more performances like that, and it won’t be long before we are”.
