Dario Zintu shocked Brook Street by requesting a transfer just before taking to the pitch in Honduras last night, a move from his advisors which particularly irritated Marcus.

The coach confirmed the move immediately after the match in which ironically Dario was injured. “Dario came to me at the hotel and formally requested a transfer. I feel the lad is being poorly advised, but have granted his request”.

He continued, “He’s obviously known about this before travelling, and I think his advisors should have made the request much earlier. My pre-match plans were thrown into disarray, and I do not appreciate that”.

The club however wasted no time in fixing up a replacement, even although Dario had not yet left the club.

Travelling back from Honduras today will be highly rated Argentine teenage striker Federico Amado who has signed from his mother club, Los Legendarios Unicos jr. in a £533,334 deal.

Marcus said of the new signing, “Federico comes very highly rated. The lad is still only 17, but he’s banged in four goals in the Argentine Cup this season. He’s got an eye for goal and I’m sure he will be a huge player for us in years to come”.

He concluded, “If he turns out to be half as good as our other Argentinean, he’ll be a fantastic signing”.
