Carbrain FC’s Alexey Pivtorak fires home the only goal of the game.

Brook Street have plummeted into the relegation zone following another lacklustre performance that resulted in a 1-0 defeat at home to Carbrain FC.

The players and coaching staff were locked in the dressing room for over an hour, with Marcus only emerging briefly to face the assembled press.

“That performance is totally unacceptable”, fumed Marcus. “Perhaps it’s time to review our long-term strategy”.

Firing a broadside at his squad he added, “We need players who give 110% in every game. Anyone who isn’t going to give everything for the team is of no use to us, and I would much rather play some of our younger players to give them the experience for the future rather than mercenaries who will be off as soon as they get a better offer any game time”.

With that the coach returned to the dressing room to take up where he left off.

Although there are still four games left to play, we must now look to take something from two very difficult away games against Blue Order and sooside athletico, in addition to maximum points from our home games in order to secure our Division III status.
