Securing our progress into the third round of the Cup, Lloyd Stephen volleys home our final goal.

Brook Street made heavy weather of it against League 5 Hebrides United, but made secure of their progress into lunchtime’s Third Round draw with goals from Garabed Palasyan, Emanuel Bohucký and Lloyd Stephen in a 3-1 win.

Although the win was percieved by some as being less convincing than had perhaps been anticipated, Marcus was not concerned when asked about in the post-match press conference, although the negativity of the media had clearly annoyed the coach.

“At the end of the day we’re in the draw for the next round which was our objective, and as far as I’m concerned, the media’s perception of how we played is irrelevant.

In bullish mood he continued, “We fielded a side with no less than five players under the age of nineteen, and were playing a new formation away from home. I think our win was excellent and the lads played very well”.

He concluded the conference by saying, “We always had the potential to step up a gear if we needed to, but the fact we didn’t have speaks volumes for my players as far as I’m concerned”.

The reward for our win was a Tayside derby away to League IV side I Eated a Cookie at The Cave, with the match kicking off at 10:30 GMT next Wednesday morning.
