For the second successive week, the reserves were taken to extra-time, but this time they crashed to defeat, going down 3-1 this afternoon to Dharamsala Looneys in Montenegro.

Lloyd Stephen had pounced on a loose ball to open the scoring against the run of play in the twenty-eighth minute, and the visitors maintained their lead until thirteen minutes from time when Mirko Žiganto burst through to fire in the equaliser.

However, Brook Street had no reply to their hosts in extra time as goals from Milan Rakočević and Lorenzo Regine saw Looneys run out comfortable winners.

“I don’t think we’ve any grounds for complaint” admitted Marcus afterwards. “We didn’t play very well and Looneys adapted to the conditions far better than we did. Over the piece, they probably merited their win”.

On the injury to Andrew Oswald he added, “It’s not that bad and he should be ok for next week. He took a rap on the shins, but there doesn’t appear to be any other damage”.

He ended by saying, “I was hoping to give some of the younger players a run out in our final game of the season, but now I’m not sure if they’re ready”.
