Samuele Ferretto fires home his first goal for the senior side after being promoted from the Academy.

Andrew Cleary hit a hat-trick, and new boy Samuele Ferretto bagged a brace on his debut after being promoted from the Academy, as the reserves comfortably won in Algeria last night.

Matt Cocker, Zsolt Baboss, Muhammad Noorani and Garabed Palasyan scored Brook Street’s other goals in the 9-0 demolition of Maccabi Baguette.

“We really knocked the ball about well”, said Marcus Lövman, “and we dragged them out of formation, giving our front players that bit extra room”.

He continued, “They utilised it to the full, and it was really encouraging that our front trio managed to find the net six times between them”.

When asked about Samuele Ferretto’s performance he said, “It was an excellent debut for the lad and I’m really pleased that he managed to get his name on the scoresheet. We’d had glowing reports from the Academy about him, so we knew we’d be able to throw him straight in”.

He added, “Our front line tonight were all teenagers, so I think there’s a lot of positives to look forward to in the next few years”.
