Brook Street’s reserves have crashed out of their second Cup competition this season, going down 3-0 away to League V side Ballroom Blitz in this afternoon’s Saltire Cup First Round tie.

Already trailing 1-0 at the break through, Portuguese striker Aparício Piloto’s thirty-second minute strike, two goals in a minute three minutes from time from Piloto and Dutch winger Matthias Rombouts saw the home side comfortably through to the next round.

“We just never got going and now we’re out of our second Cup within a week”, said Brook Street coach Marcus Lövman. “It’s never good to go out of a competition early, but this is one we’re not too bothered about”.

He added, “Ballroom Blitz fielded a very good side and have gone through deservedly. We can have no complaints, but I’d have expected our players to have put up a better show than they did. That’s the only real disappointment I have about the defeat”.
