Andrew Cleary fires in his third goal to write a piece of club history.

Andrew Cleary netted another hattrick this afternoon to bring his goals tally for the season up to seventeen and helped ensure the three points would be heading back to Monifieth.

Brook Street made extremely heavy weather of it and despite having raced to a 2-0 lead, twice found themselves pegged back by a feisty Stirling Bridge side before Leoš Loos finally supplied the coup de grace with ten minutes to go.

“It was probably one of our poorest displays this season”, admitted the coach, “but we’ve escaped with the points so I’m not too concerned. At the end of the day, we’ve recorded a 4-3 away win, and that’s all the history books will show.

The coach was however full of praise for Andrew Cleary on the afternoon he notched up his seventeenth league goal of the season to create a new piece of Brook Street history.

Coach Leoš Loos said, “He’s easily the best finisher I’ve had the good fortune to play alongside, and as I’ve said before we’re very fortunate to have him at our club”.

“He’s hit seventeen league goals this season, which is a new club record, and I am certain that he will hit more than twenty before the season is out”.

“He’s a clinical finisher, and is certainly enjoying his football this season.
