Brook Street comfortably saw off Brentanella in this morning’s friendly match at New Home Park. Two goals each from Fraser Carragher and Phil Mullally along with a Muhammad Noorani strike eased Athletic to a 5-0 win over their Italian visitors.

“We played some super football this morning”, claimed Brook Street coach Leoš Loos, and there wee few in the ground who would disagree. We created a lot of chances and were fortunate enough to finish off a number of them”.

He added, “A repeat of that on Saturday, and I’ll be happy”.

The coach was also pleased that his charges came through the match unscathed.

“Zsolt made his comeback and I’m pleased to say that he has suffered no adverse reaction. He’ll come back into the squad for Saturday’s match, along with Abel Soffia who, while he did not play today, will be available for the match against Maxum”.
