Brook Street scored four goals either side of half-time as they romped to an excellent 8-0 win against The Finnish Miracle in Edinburgh this afternoon. Andrew Cleary hit a hat-trick, there were braces for Lope Cabrio and Muhammad Noorani, and a single for Fraser Carragher as Brook Street ran riot.

“We showed the desire and hunger for the win, and I don’t think anyone could deny that we deserved the win”, said Leoš Loos.

“We’re very happy with the result and it leaves us with only three games to play, two of which are at New Home Park”,

He however cautioned, “Those three remaining games will be the toughest of the season as we face the best of the other sides in the Division. We are however prepared and have been tailoring our whole season to these last games. We know what we have to do, and we’ll be setting out to do exactly that”.

Elsewhere, next weekend’s visitors, Sparta Macmerry thumped Highlands & Islands United 11-0; The Tiny Spacemen eased past Maxum by three unanswered goals; and Crass hit nine without reply to relegate Marcascotties.
