Fraser Carragher fires home our goal in this morning’s 5-1 defeat.

In their first outing of the season, Brook Street’s reserve side were given a real roasting by their Finnish visitors JK Saksipotku, and crashed to a 1-5 defeat at NHP.

Fraser Carragher netted Brook Street’s consolation goal, but by then the Monifieth side were 0-4 down and there was never any chance of the goal kick-starting a comeback.

“We were already 3-0 down going into the break and were never really at the races”, admitted Brook Street coach Leoš Loos. The long lay-off thanks to the record-breaking cup run clearly played a part, as he went on to say.“

We were a bit rusty today. Matches in training are one thing, but there is no substitute for competitive matches. The players were not up to match fitness, and to be fair probably won’t be for a couple of weeks”.

He continued, “A few of them were blowing hard by the end, but that sharpness will come back. They just need game time now”.
